AFCEA WEST 23: Coming Together to Support the United States Navy

Raventek attends AFCEA WEST to advance the mission of the Navy through data.

AFCEA WEST is one of the most prominent conferences in the defense, security and technology industries. Barring any global pandemics, RavenTek makes sure to never miss it.

Hosted by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), this event draws thousands of attendees from across the globe. Government and industry leaders come together to collaborate and learn about the latest trends and advancements in their respective fields. From keynote speakers to panel discussions and networking events, there is something for almost everyone.

Members of the RavenTek team attended AFCEA WEST 2023 and have put together a recap of their experience. Following is a discussion on why the team makes it a priority to attend and the results of this annual commitment.

Advancing the Mission

“Advancing the mission of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard has been a key focus area for RavenTek since day one,” comments Chris Riordan, Chief Technology Officer. “As an agile small business integrator, and a strategic teammate for large systems integrators, we showcase our capabilities at AFCEA WEST each year to underscore our commitment to providing visibility and integration of security infrastructure operations and network data.”

RavenTek has a long history of attending WEST and focusing on building strong partner relationships to support the Department of Defense. This year, RavenTek showcased its RavenVISION service alongside partner Riverbed’s Alluvio Aternity platform. This collaboration between integrators underpins a dedication to achieving common goals. Goals that include identifying and addressing critical issues and delivering effective solutions that solve them for mission critical organizations. Such is the spirit of AFCEA WEST.

Refining Solutions to Meet the Needs of Tomorrow

“This was one of the best AFCEA WEST shows I have ever attended,” adds Chip Stewart, Vice President of DoD sales for the company. “From engaging with Navy folks in person to getting clarity on their needs, plans and budgets, this event proves more and more critical to how we execute our service offerings today and work toward making enhancements to meet the needs of tomorrow.”

Over the past 18 months, RavenTek has been refining RavenVISION to help organizations be more proactive with their data. This next level observability tool aggregates and analyzes security and operational data from existing IT infrastructure, security and network investments. As a result, it’s enabling these organizations to stay ahead of potential issues and make informed, data-driven decisions.

“Our data-centric approach to observability across all IT domains received exceptional feedback from both customers and industry experts,” adds Riordan. “In essence, this exemplified how RavenTek is continuing to innovate and provide valuable solutions in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing technology landscape.”

So, there you have it—innovation, networking and safe-guarding the technology systems of mission critical organizations worldwide. Could it get any better? In fact, it could. As Stewart adds, “Seeing RavenTek and our RavenVISION solution on the big screen at PETCO Park was priceless.”
